The chronic aspect of this illness and progression of disability additionally increase the significance of the pain at rheumatologic patients. This is the reason why all rheumatologists’ main therapeutic goal is focused on elimination of those symptoms as the unknown ethiology of the majority of muscleskeleton illnesses enables only symptomatic treatment. The reduction or elimination of pain which reduces the possibility of self-care and impedes daily living activities is the goal of every rheumatologist and also the patients’ desire. The realization of this goal is possible in various ways and the first choice is pharmacotherapy.
